Fabian Coulthard has proven himself to be a winning choice filling in for the injured Murphy at Round 2 of the V8SuperTour-ers Championship at Ruapuna over Easter weekend. Coulthard was optimistic going into the race following the Round 1 form of Murphy in the Mike Pero Racing Commodore, who was forced to sit on the sidelines after a back operation. “I’ll have very minimal practice, but the one thing on my side is that I’ve raced at Ruapuna a couple of times.”
Mike Pero Racing's Greg Murphy returned to Manfeild Park for round 3 of the V8 SuperTourers. Manfeild Park evokes mixed emotions for Murphy, he was the recipient of a scholarship in Formula Ford in 1990 at this track and it was also the scene of a horrific crash in the NZ Grand Prix five years later.
